For my Garland Heart mission, I chose a mission close to my heart – Pediatric Cancer Awareness. So far, in 2013, we have raised almost $1000 for pediatric cancer research and treatment. In addition, in the month of September, we were able to help “Buddies for Bella” provide a Scentsy Animal Buddy to each child on the Oncology floor at Cook Children’s Hospital. In October and November, we have the honor to walk in the “Light the Night Walk” and the “St. Jude’s: Give Thanks. Walk.” We hope to be able to raise more funds through these events to help save children battling cancer and other deadly diseases.
