Each and every week we send off our people out around the country to help our client’s become more secure and compliant. Due to that fact, we found we didn’t have a great need for our own physical office space. We have had offices in the past but they were mostly used as a meeting spot rather than our everyday office space. As busy as we have been lately, there are times were we may need not physically see someone for months! So finding ways to stay connected to one another and to continue a happy culture is of big importance to me. That’s why I immediately got excited about Sococo after a buddy of mine mentioned it to me. Here’s our office space today:

3 Tips to Encourage Collaboration In Your Organization’s Security Processes
While information security has assumed top priority in many organizations, the steps that enterprises take to strengthen their overall cybersecurity often focus solely on improving the technology and processes involved in those efforts. Unfortunately, such a heavy focus on the technical mechanics of cybersecurity neglects the human side of the equation. This is especially true when it comes to strengthening the collaboration between security-oriented departments and the rest of your organization.

Indeed, studies show that the strength of your security protection potential drops when your organization experiences a widening gap between business leaders and security programs. In a survey conducted in September 2015, only 15 percent of IT security professionals described their organization’s collaboration as excellent, while more than 30 percent described it as poor or non-existent. That lapse can have serious consequences as the cost of cybercrime continues to climb.

Another new year….more new ways to be attacked.
As we are months underway into a new year, not only does it bring us new opportunities; but a reason to get into shape, see the spring flowers, knowing that football season is that much closer, and so on….it also brings us a whole new set of security threats and attacks.

Our Culture – Unlimited Vacation Policy
Culture is a tricky thing. You want one that stands out from the pack of other small businesses but you also realize that you don’t have the resources of a Google, Facebook or Amazon. So a few years ago, we decided to opt-in to one idea that we think is not only the right way to go in our company but in any other modern day business. We established an ‘unlimited vacation policy’.
