The Fed has announced that the new $100 bill will begin circulation on October 8, 2013. The new bill has new security features that will make it easier for to authenticate, but more difficult for counterfeiters to replicate.
To help raise awareness regarding the new design and to inform how to use the security features the fed has provided training and educational materials which can be found at www.newmoney.gov.
